Almog Cohen is a member of parliament for the far-right Jewish Power Party in Israel. Almog Cohen called for a ground assault on Rafah in the Gaza Strip, where Palestinians have taken refuge under the claim that it is a 'safe zone'. "Ramadan is the best time to kill them," Cohen said.

Cohen argued that a ground attack on Rafah, where approximately 1.5 million Palestinians have taken refuge, is necessary, saying: "Should Rafah be entered by land? Should it be (a ground attack on Rafah) when they are fasting, tired, weak to break their bones, yes."

“I am glad to announce that the bill proposal for the deportation of families of terrorists has been approved in the preliminary vote. Every terrorist must know that the state of Israel will know how to settle the score with his family.
